Important Information About “Procedures” for opening “New Accounts”
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
Individual Accounts & Sole Proprietorships (D/B/A’s)
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your Name, Address, Date of Birth and other Information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, federal law prohibits us from waiving these requirements.
Please be prepared to supply a Taxpayer Identification Number (T.I.N.) on all “New” Accounts. The bank will require two valid forms of I.D..
Business “Entity” Accounts:
Business Entities will likely have a separate T.I.N., so please have the Tax I.D. Numbers of any “Entity” Accounts available. The Bank will also require additional information on Business Entity Accounts. Please have the full “Legal Name” of the Registered Company as filed in the Jurisdiction of the Organization. The address of the Principal “Place of Business” is required to be a physical location (P.O. Box may be used for Mailing purposes only). The “Controlling” Owner may use a Personal Address acceptable to the Bank’s Management.
The “New Account” Owners, Principals, Partners, Members, Officers, or Other Relationships will be required to supply “Two” forms of Valid & Acceptable Identification to open the account and the bank may require a minimum deposit to establish the account. Added signers will also be subject to depositor identification under the Federal Law requirements.
